New Zealand Koru Design
Students learned about the Maori people of New Zealand and the koru symbol that is often found in Maori artwork. Students also learned how to mix primary and secondary colors to create the intermediate (tertiary) colors of the color wheel. These pieces were painted with liquid tempera paint using only the three primary colors. Once students finished painting, they added details with oil pastels. Stunning work!
